A Family Operation from the Beginning
As seasoned forestry experts, Evan and Mary bought a small manufacturing company in Salmon Arm, BC. With years spent working in rugged terrains, they saw firsthand the gap in reliable PPE. Determined to create gear that matched the demands of harsh environments, they launched a line of raingear that was 100% waterproof, rip-proof, and designed to endure. They expanded to include Kevlar-protected chainsaw pants, crafted for every season, making their products essential across industries, from forestry to municipal services.
Our Beginnings
With e-commerce on the rise, Brian, Evan’s brother, saw an opportunity to bring Rain Gear Pro to a wider audience. Inspired by a Vancouver marketing seminar, he built the first version of Rain Gear Pro’s online presence, driven by a belief that everyone facing extreme conditions deserved the best in PPE. While balancing his consulting work with Indigenous Bands and entrepreneurs, Brian laid the foundation for what would become an enduring, trusted brand.
An Unlikely Partnership
Rain Gear Pro took a leap forward when Brian partnered with Keilan, an entrepreneurial force who’d launched businesses since his teens, from snow removal to property management. Brian recognized in Keilan the passion and skills to propel Rain Gear Pro’s growth, and he offered him a co-ownership stake in exchange for a commitment to expansion. Together, they strengthened Rain Gear Pro’s online presence, expanding its reach and reputation.
